Dan grew up in the Wenatchee Valley, is a graduate of Eastmont HS and obtained a BA in Finance from the University of Washington in 1982. He lives in East Wenatchee with his wife, Cheri. Dan represents the second generation of CII having worked under his father, Bob Barr, prior to becoming president of Center Investments in 1990 and owning the company since 1994. Dan is a licensed Real Estate Broker and has received the designation of Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) from the International Council of Shopping Centers. Dan has attended many ICSC and IREM schools and taken extensive courses relating to commercial property management, development, brokerage and leasing.
Dan is known as a pragmatic commercial real estate professional and through his role as general partner of the largest retail property in the region understands how to create value in real estate. Dan maintains relationships with national, regional and local tenants and has handled leases with literally hundreds of tenants. He knows his markets well and understands retailers’ needs, which translates into successful leasing to new stores coming to market.
